Vendor-neutral, no markup

Buy the right equipment the first time.

Setting up a new office, moving suites, or replacing tired equipment? We work out what you actually need — computers, firewall, switches, Wi-Fi, printers, conference rooms — help you buy it without the markup, and set it up so it works on day one.

What it costs

The first conversation and network assessment are free. Advice and planning are billed at $145/hr remote or $185/hr on-site; office moves and build-outs are quoted fixed-price once the scope is known. Equipment is billed at cost with no markup — or you buy it yourself.

Why independent advice matters

Most hardware advice comes from somebody who sells hardware. The quote you were handed was written by a person paid more when the number is bigger, and the brand on it is usually the one with the best reseller margin that quarter.

We do not mark up hardware. Anything bought through us is billed at cost, or you buy it directly and we tell you exactly what to order. Either way there is nothing in the recommendation for us, which is the only reason a recommendation is worth having.

What we help with

New offices and build-outs. Before the lease is signed or the walls go up: where the comms closet goes, how many network drops each room needs, where the access points belong, what the ISP can actually deliver to the building, and what it all costs. Getting cabling into the construction schedule is far cheaper than adding it afterwards.

Office moves. A plan for what moves, what gets replaced, and the order it happens in — internet ordered early enough, equipment moved and tested over a weekend, and staff logging in on Monday as if nothing happened.

Refreshes. Which laptops, desktops, switches and firewalls are genuinely past it, which are fine for another few years, and which should be replaced together so you are not doing this again in eighteen months.

Second opinions. Somebody has quoted you a five-figure refresh and you want to know whether you need it. We go through it line by line and tell you what is sensible, what is padding and what is missing.

What gets looked at

Computers and laptops for the work your people actually do. Firewall, switching and Wi-Fi sized for your headcount and floor plan rather than a catalogue. Printers and scanners. Conference-room displays and video calling. Phones and headsets. Backup devices, UPS battery units and the comms-closet rack.

The questions that drive it are practical: how many people, how they work, what software they run, what the building allows, and what the budget is. You get a written list with models, quantities and prices you can check yourself, not a brochure.

From the list to a working office

Once it is bought, we set it up: firewall and Wi-Fi configured, machines imaged and joined, printers working for everyone, conference rooms tested before the first meeting. Setup is scheduled evenings or weekends so nobody loses a working day.

Everything is documented and handed to you — what was bought, serial numbers, warranty dates, where the passwords live. When something needs replacing in four years, the answer is already written down.

When you do not need us

If you are buying three laptops for a small team and already know what you want, just buy them. Where we earn our fee is when the decision is bigger, the money is real, or the office itself is changing — and we will say so on the first call if your situation is the first kind.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Do you mark up hardware?

No. You can buy directly from whoever you like using the list we give you, or we can order it on your behalf billed at cost with no markup. There is no commission in the recommendation either way.

Can you look at a quote we already have?

Yes, and it is one of the most useful things we do. Send it over and we will tell you what is reasonable, what is overpriced, what is unnecessary and what has been left out.

We are moving office. When should we call?

As early as possible — ideally before the lease is signed. Internet service to a new building can take weeks to arrange, and network cabling is much cheaper to install before the walls and ceilings are finished.

Do you set up the equipment as well?

Yes. Recommending it, ordering it and installing it is one job, and the setup is scheduled evenings or weekends so your staff are not interrupted.

Will you recommend specific brands?

Yes, specific makes and models with quantities and prices, chosen for your situation. There is no partner programme or preferred vendor behind the choice.

Is this only for businesses?

It is aimed at offices, but home offices are welcome too — see computer repair for smaller one-off jobs.

Tell us what is going on

You will speak to an engineer, not a salesperson.

We reply by the next business day, if not sooner. No sales sequence, no drip emails — one human, one call.

Ready when you are.

Ring and describe it in plain English. You will get a number before anyone drives anywhere.
